.Do stick with tradition. Whatever objects or rituals have made their way into your Christmas traditions must be at the heart of your holiday decorating. In my house, it’s all about a pair of large glass penguins… go figure.
.Do keep it simple. Sometimes less really is more.
.Do try a little glitter glam. Christmas is the perfect time to revel in sparkle and shine.
.Don’t get crafty with mason jars. The art of repurposing mason jars had it’s time, and now that time has passed.
.Don’t use blue Christmas lights. There is no wrong colour for Christmas lights, except blue.
.Don’t expect perfection. Nobody attains or remembers “holiday perfection,” – only the many silly, frustrating, joyful moments spent in the pursuit of it.
